Workshops For Therapists
We regularly host workshops for therapists to come together to learn and to remain supported by, and accountable to one another in our practice. By bringing therapists together in this space, we witness the process of one another, and we support one another in our creative discoveries and expressions. We value community, and we believe that we are capable of far more, united.

LGBTQ Therapist Gatherings
We host gatherings at The Grounding Stone for queer and trans identified therapists to support one another through the joys and struggles of working within our own intimately woven community. If you are interested in joining this part of our community, please contact us.
We guide folks in simply and safely taking pause from the busyness of brimming schedules, and in developing a reconnection to the living spaces that exist all around us. This restorative pause seems to have a calming, grounding effect for many people, whether it be 4 minutes under a Western Red Cedar, or 4 days on a sea kayaking journey. We believe that our healing often arrives as we become aware that we are not alone; we are nature.
We are grateful for the privilege of having settled in this green pocket of the world, with it’s abundance of naturally restorative spaces. A portion of the therapeutic work that we do is Nature-Based, and we have joined with local sea-kayaking outfit, Wild Root Journeys to offer Inner Journeys, a therapeutic retreat for folks seeking a more natural balance. We created Inner Journeys as a response to our recognition of a growing need to get away from the stimulation of the city and to reconnect with the grounding and soothing presence of nature.
Last summer we had two wonderful gatherings of like-minded folks in the Broken Group Islands, and we will be collaborating with Wild Root Journeys again this Summer in offering two Inner Journeys specifically for LGBTQ+ folks and their allies, before Vancouver’s Gay Pride 2019.
