Megan or mj is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who works from an anti-oppressive framework built on empathy and justice. She specializes in working with folks who are exploring neurodiversity, kink, queer family systems, non-traditional parenting, and various non-normative relationship structures that fall somewhere within ethical non-monogamy and polyamorous ways of being.
Mair is a Registered Psychologist who offers consultation to the associates at The Grounding Stone. Mair has an earnest commitment to social justice and anti-oppression. Mair aims to be collaborative, educational, and focused on supporting the therapist in finding their path. Mair specializes in working with queer, gender-diverse, and non-traditional populations, and has extensive training and experience working with various types of trauma.
Khojesta is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She specializes in working with non-normative people including gender-diverse, neurodivergent, and non-monogamous individuals, intimate networks and families. Her work focuses on identity exploration, expression of self, immigration, parenting, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She operates from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, strength-based, cooperative, and empowering therapeutic lens. She has almost 10 years of experience working in front-line crisis and mental health services across the developmental lifespan including children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly.
Lily is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. In her work, she focuses on life transitions, intersectional identities, immigration, grief & loss, depression & anxiety, and queer parenting. She works from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and relational lens. Lily has training with Somatic Experiencing (SE – level I), which enables her to help people to notice physical sensations stemming from their mental health issues and to use that awareness to work through painful feelings and emotions.
Emma Ellison is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Her practice focuses on self-awareness and expression, trauma resolution, and personal growth. She draws from a holistic, relational, and depth-oriented approach to explore the unconscious feelings, beliefs, dynamics, and patterns that influence our lives and relationships.
Veronika is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who works from an anti-oppressive framework to provide counselling support to individuals and a variety of relationship structures that are navigating conflict, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. With over 15 years of experience working in crisis intervention and frontline mental health support, Veronika works from a strengths-based approach in order to explore with clients the intersecting identities that they hold and help empower clients to find healthier ways of communicating and setting boundaries in all of their surrounding relationships.
Val Lange is an arts and somatic based Registered Clinical Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Expressive Arts Therapy and Psychology. Val holds an intersectional viewpoint, grounded in feminism and anti-oppression. She has spent the past five years working in front-line, anti-violence agencies supporting women and genderqueer people escaping violence. In her practice, she draws upon experience in relational therapy, attachment therapy, parts-work, family constellations, expressive arts therapy and hakomi, a form of somatic psychotherapy.
